Save 30% on the MY Sheena15th September 2016 | Sandro Lonardi
Calling all last-minute travelers! Are you ready for an adventure to the Maldives? If so, this special deal is for you!
Diviac is currently offering an amazing 30% off five 7-night cruises aboard the spacious MY Sheena. These cruises depart on September 18th, September 25th, October 2nd, October 9th and October 30th, so don’t delay in making your travel arrangements.
Four of the departures sail the Maldives Southern Itinerary to the Meemu and Felidhoo Atolls from Medhufushi. On the other hand, the September 18th departure is a transfer cruise from Male to Medhufushi. Full board, diving and Nitrox are all included in the dive safari rate. Additionally, the discount can be applied to both the standard cabins and the owner’s cabin, but do note that transfers to and from Male are not included.
Not many ships travel this far south in the Maldives, so it’s likely you’ll be the only boat as far as the eye can see. Pack your bags! It’s time to practice your Robinson Crusoe aboard the MY Sheena.
Sailing the Maldives’ Deep South, the MY Sheena is 79 feet (24m) long and 28 feet (8.5m) wide. This liveaboard was built in 2005 and refurbished in 2013. To ensure your dive safari holiday becomes a memorable experience, every aspect of MY Sheena's design, itinerary and menu has received detailed attention. The goal of this yacht and its crew is to offer the best in terms of underwater experience and topside accommodation.
The liveaboard is a sturdy steel-hulled yacht, purpose-built for those who want to delve into the magical underwater treasure islands of the Maldives. The MY Sheena's itineraries were arranged so the dive sites in Meemu and Felidhoo Atolls can be visited at the best time of year.
The MY Sheena has 2 types of cabins: standard cabins and the owner’s cabin on the upper deck. There is AC aboard the vessel for your comfort. As an added bonus, Nitrox is provided at no additional charge.
Meemu and Felidhoo Atolls
Meemu and Felidhoo Atolls’ sheltered inner reefs are ideal for beginners, while advanced divers can enjoy the deeper reefs and exhilarating drift dives in the channels between islands. You’re sure to see pretty corals, mantas and reef sharks.
One of the top dive sites found in the area is on a reef at Mulee Island. During the south-west monsoon (May to December), it’s common to spot mantas with their offspring here. Several cleaning stations can be found at 33-49 feet (10-15 meters), but the currents can be strong.
A more challenging dive site is Shark’s Tongue. Sizeable coral formations are found at 26-49 feet (8-15 meters) where schools of surgeon, oriental sweetlips and copper snapper are found. As you descend you’ll see groups of whitetip and blacktip reef sharks swimming amongst the coral's rocks.
These are just a few of the wonderful dive sites scattered around the deep south of the Maldives. There’s so much to discover in the Meemu and Felidhoo Atolls aboard the MY Sheena.
